Project Overview
2.678 Electronics for Mechanical Engineers is an electronics class tailored for mechanical engineers and mechanical systems. The class concluded with a final project, to build our own line-following robot. To make it a little more difficult, we were only allowed to use three light sensors mounted to the front of the car and the track featured numerous gaps, sharp turns, and other obstacles designed to confuse our robot. There were about 80 people in the class, and my robot finished 3rd overall in the final race. See video below as well as the final track.
