2.670 IAP 2019

Project Overview
2.670 is a mechanical engineering tools class teaching students to work with the lathe, mill, saws, and drill press. The class is short, but covers vital aspects of machining parts and working with high-powered tools. The class teaches these principles through the manufacturing of a flashlight, starting with only a aluminum rod and aluminum bar. To manufacture the final product, I used a bandsaw, dropsaw, lathe, mill, multiple taps, and multiple dies. The class taught me the essentials of machining my own parts and products.
